What is fire?

What kind of matter is the flame or fire?
A solid : definitely not-no proper structure, shape ,density.
A liquid: obviously no chance-no flow towards lower regions, not affected by gravity.
Gaseous: A gas must flow from denser to rarer region. But the flame doesn't.

May be gaseous...whenever a substance burns it melts and then boils accordingly(atleast the surface of the solid or liquid becomes gas) and that gas burns...hence gaseous

what if a camphor burns? No melting/boiling.Then how could the surface become gaseous?

A flame is a flame-neither solid nor liquid nor gas.
